Regular Season Round 13: Yamanashi QB - Ebara Vickies 62-53

Yamanashi QB has finally registered their first victory this season after 12 consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Ebara Vickies (1-12) 62-53 on Sunday. Ebara Vickies trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 17-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 53-62 at the end of the game. Yamanashi QB dominated on the defensive end, holding Ebara Vickies to just 7 points in first quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Ebara Vickies' 28. Hatanaka Miho (177-85) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Mika Okada (174-87) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Yamanashi QB players scored in double figures. Yuki Morimoto produced 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Mizusawa Haruna (171-85) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Yamanashi QB left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with defeated Ebara Vickies. Yamanashi QB will meet at home league's second-placed Chanson V-M in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ebara Vickies' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Niigata.
