Regular Season Round 24: Mitsubishi DD - Tochigi Brex 77-83

The most important game in the last round took place in Nagoya between third ranked Mitsubishi Dolphins (15-12) and fourth ranked Tochigi Brex (14-12) on Sunday night. Mitsubishi Dolphins were defeated by Tochigi Brex in a tough game at home 77-83. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Mitsubishi Dolphins. The guests trailed by 16 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Tochigi Brex made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds. The former international guard Yuta Tabuse (173-80, college: BYU-Hawaii) chipped in 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Tochigi Brex's coach Antanas Sireika used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Bahamas power forward Magnum Rolle (211-86, college: Louisiana Tech) who recorded 19 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Shogo Asayama (192-81) added 17 points respectively. Tochigi Brex maintains fourth position with 14-12 record. Mitsubishi Dolphins at the other side keep the third place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Hokkaido L.. Tochigi Brex are looking forward to face league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Mitsubishi Dolphins will play on the road against Hokkaido L. in Saporro and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
