Regular Season Round 24: Saitama Bron. - Takamatsu FA 60-96

Date: December 22, 2013
Very predictable result when sixth ranked Takamatsu FA (10-10) smashed on the road 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (2-20) 96-60 on Sunday. The game without a history. Takamatsu FA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Andrais Thornton (203-85, college: NW Missouri St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import power forward Paul Williams (208-83, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: I.D.S. Law) who added 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American swingman Michael Joiner (200-81, college: Florida St.) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and forward Reina Itakura (194-81) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Takamatsu FA have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Saitama Broncos lost seventeenth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 20 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
