Rather expected game when 6th ranked CD Puerto Varas (5-7) lost on the road to third ranked Osorno Basq. (8-4) 89-76. The game was mostly controlled by Osorno Basq.. CD Puerto Varas was better in fourth quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Osorno Basq. shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Rashad Jones-Jennings (203-84, college: UALR) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 21 rebounds and swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Osorno Basq. players scored in double figures. Osorno Basq.'s coach Manuel Cordoba allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was forward Grady Reynolds (198-80, college: St.John's) with 25 points and 7 rebounds and Geddes Robinson (195-87, college: Utah Valley) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Osorno Basq. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-4 record behind leader Talca. CD Puerto Varas at the other side dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Los Leones. Osorno Basq. will play against league's leader Tinguiririca S.F. in San Fernando in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. CD Puerto Varas will play at home against CD Sagrados (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
