We should mention about the upset which took place in Nanjing, where higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (8-8) were outleveled in a road game by twelfth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (7-9) 102-83 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Liaoning Hunters. Jiangsu Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Liaoning Hunters' 52. Jiangsu Dragons forced 22 Liaoning Hunters turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Liaoning Hunters' players. The former international point guard XueFeng Hu (185-80) fired 22 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals for the winners. American forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Five Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) produced 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and the former international center XiaoXu Li (206-90) added 4 points and 15 rebounds respectively for lost side. Jiangsu Dragons maintains twelfth position with 7-9 record, which they share with Foshan LL. Loser Liaoning Hunters dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will face Jilin Tigers (#14) in Changchun in the next round.
