Regular Season Round 14: Darussafaka - Buyukcekmece 69-58

TB2L top team - Darussafaka (11-3) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Buyukcekmece (5-9) in Istanbul 69-58. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 69-58. The best player for the winners was American point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) who scored 20 points and 8 assists. The former international forward Ersin Goerkem (195-77) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. American power forward Kahiem Seawright (206-86, college: Rhode Island) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Paris Horne (191-87, college: St.John's) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Darussafaka maintains first position with 11-3 record. Newly promoted Buyukcekmece keeps the thirteenth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Istanbul DSI. Darussafaka will meet league's second-placed Akhisar Bld on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Buyukcekmece will play against Bandirma Kir. (#18) and hope to secure a win.
