The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Huracanes' (11-11) road loss to sixth ranked Toros (12-6) 69-88. The game without a history. Toros led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Toros outrebounded Huracanes 39-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American forward Adrian Henning (203-82, college: Austin Peay St.) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Demond Allen supported him with 19 points and 10 assists. Four Toros players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds by Dominican power forward Elys Manuel Guzman (204-82, college: Bemidji St.) did not help to save the game for Huracanes. American swingman Cliff Tucker (198, college: Maryland) added 17 points and 4 assists for the guests. Huracanes' coach Eduard Torres rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Toros moved-up to fifth place. Huracanes at the other side keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. Toros will play against higher ranked Abejas (#4) in Guanajuato in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Huracanes will play at home against Soles and hope to get back on the winning track.
