There was no surprise in Urumqi where 6th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (9-7) was crushed by second ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (13-3) 122-102 on Sunday. Xinjiang Flying Tige made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. Xinjiang Flying Tige outrebounded Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank 47-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. Forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) fired a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds for the winners. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Xinjiang Flying Tige's coach WanJun Cui used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Ivan Johnson (203-84, college: CS San Bernar.) produced 31 points and 8 rebounds and the former international center Dayu Zhang (210-91) added 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Xinjiang Flying Tige have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-3 record behind leader Guangdong ST. Loser Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will face TianJin Steel (#7) in Tianjin in the next round where they are favorite. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play on the road against Shanxi Zhongyu in Taiyuan and hope to win that game.
