Regular Season Round 16: Fujian QB - Beijing Ducks 105-108

The most exciting game of round 16 in the CBA took place in Jinjiang. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked Fujian (9-7) to third ranked Beijing Ducks (12-4) 108-105 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 3 points. Beijing Ducks made 29-of-38 free shots (76.3 percent) during the game, while Fujian only scored eleven points from the stripe. 27 personal fouls committed by Fujian helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) fired 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winners. International forward Xiaochuan Zhai (205-93) chipped in 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws). International Zhelin Wang (215-94) produced a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and American guard Delonte West (192-83, college: St.Joseph's) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Four Beijing Ducks and five Fujian players scored in double figures. Fujian's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Beijing Ducks maintains third position with 12-4 record having just two points less than leader Guangdong ST. Fujian at the other side dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Zhejiang CB and TianJin S.. Beijing Ducks are looking forward to face Shanghai Sharks (#5) at home in the next round. Fujian will play against Sichuan BW and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
