Regular Season Round 13: Recanati - Ferrara 55-58

Twelfth-ranked Recanati (5-8) gave a tough game to first ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (10-3) on Sunday. The visitors from Ferrara managed to secure only three-point victory 58-55. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 3 points. Naturhouse Ferrara made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Guard Gabriele Spizzichini (194-92) stepped up and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Julius Mays (188-89, college: Kentucky) chipped in 23 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!). At the losing side American swingman Sean Mosley (192-89, college: Maryland) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized American power forward Ryan Pettinella (206-84, college: Virginia) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Naturhouse Ferrara maintains first place with 10-3 record. Recanati at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Firenze and Reggio Calabr.. Naturhouse Ferrara are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Bari (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Recanati will play against Treviglio and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
