TM Hotel Cork managed to secure a 8-point victory 63-55 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Niamh Dwyer (176-82, college: Monmouth) who scored 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. American forward Emilee Harmon (188, college: Ohio St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four TM Hotel Cork players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Rachel Roberts (175-91, college: Villanova) who recorded 26 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Niamh Mullally (180-84) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively. WIT Wildcats' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TM Hotel Cork maintains third place with 6-3 record behind leader UL Huskies. WIT Wildcats lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. TM Hotel Cork will meet at home bottom-ranked Liffey Celtics (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. WIT Wildcats will play again against TM Hotel Cork and hope to secure a win.
