Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Milano (6-4) won against on the road 6th ranked Cagliari A. (1-9) 66-54 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Milano. Cagliari A. was better in fourth quarter 17-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Cagliari A. to just 7 points in third quarter. Milano forced 22 Cagliari A. turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Silvia Gottardi (176-78) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Center Alessandra Calastri (193-85) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds.
