Regular Season Round 13: Fujitsu RW - Denso Iris 73-57

The game between third ranked Denso Iris (10-3) and sixth ranked Fujitsu RW (10-3) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Denso Iris were defeated by Fujitsu RW in Kawasaki 73-57. They made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. International forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Yoko Nagi (175-82) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. Fujitsu RW's coach Yabuuchi Natsumi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and guard Minami Iju (168-90) scored 10 points. Fujitsu RW have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Denso Iris and Mitsubishi K. Fujitsu RW is looking forward to face Toyota B SR (#9) in Aichi in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Denso Iris will play at home against Hitachi Cougars (#10) and are hoping to win this game.
