Regular Season Round 21: Bourg - Fos Ouest 79-74

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked JL Bourg (13-7) beat at home 6th ranked Fos Ouest (12-9) 79-74 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Fos Ouest won fourth quarter 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fos Ouest was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: KMG Sports Management) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and his fellow American import guard O'Darien Bassett (189-86, college: Troy) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Four JL Bourg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Moroccan-Canadian Mohamed Hachad (194-83, college: Northwestern) with 16 points and American swingman Chris Davis (195-80, college: N.Texas, agency: Court Side) scored 14 points. Fos Ouest's coach Remi Giutta let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. JL Bourg have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 13-7 record. Loser Fos Ouest keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. JL Bourg will face Boulazac Basket (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fos Ouest will play against Hyeres-Toulon (#10) and hope to win that game.
