Regular Season Round 13: Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Antibes 81-72

Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (6-7) defeated at home bottom-ranked Olympique Antibes (2-11) 81-72 on Sunday. Olympique Antibes was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 29-18 charge of Pau-Lacq-Orthez, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for David Denave (195-85) who helped to win the game recording 16 points. Forward Jean-Frederic Morency (199-89) contributed with 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington, agency: Interperformances) answered with 18 points and American guard Larry O'Bannon (194-83, college: Louisville, agency: Interperformances) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Olympique Antibes. Pau-Lacq-Orthez moved-up to tenth place, which they share with ASVEL. Olympique Antibes at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will face league's second-placed JDA Dijon on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Olympique Antibes will play against Sluc Nancy (#9) and hope to win that game.
