Regular Season Round 17: Beijing Ducks - Shanghai S. 108-100

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Shanghai Sharks (11-6) lost on the road to third ranked Beijing Ducks (13-4) 108-100 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Beijing Ducks led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Beijing Ducks forced 22 Shanghai Sharks turnovers. Shanghai Sharks were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated also this game. Power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) orchestrated the victory by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Swingman Damien Wilkins (201-80, college: Georgia, agency: Priority Sports) contributed with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. Guard Quincy Douby (190-84, college: Rutgers) answered with 26 points and 7 rebounds and Darnell Jackson (203-85, college: Kansas) added 21 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Shanghai Sharks. The victory was the third consecutive win for Beijing Ducks. They maintain third place with 13-4 record having just two points less than leader Guangdong ST. Shanghai Sharks lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Beijing Ducks will face league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shanghai Sharks will play on the road against Fujian in Jinjiang and hope to win that game.
