Regular Season Round 12: Vuelle Bsk PS - Grissin Bon RE 66-99
Date: December 26, 2013
Very expected game when 15th ranked VL Pesaro (2-10) was crushed at home by eighth ranked Trenkwalder RE (6-6) 99-66 on Thursday. Trenkwalder RE made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Andrea Cinciarini (193-86) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Latvian Ojars Silins (200-93) who added 23 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) during the contest. The best for the losing side was Canadian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Ravern Johnson (200-88, college: Mississippi St.) scored 18 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Trenkwalder RE moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser VL Pesaro keeps the fifteenth position with ten games lost. Trenkwalder RE will face Umana Venezia (#9) at home in the next round. VL Pesaro will play against Granarolo BO (#11) in Bologna and hope to win that game.
