The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Montepaschi Siena (9-3) at the home court on Thursday night. Hosts were rolled over by ninth ranked Juvecaserta (6-6) 81-60. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Montepaschi Siena. The game was mostly controlled by Juvecaserta. Montepaschi Siena managed to win third quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jeff Brooks (203-89, college: Penn St.) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Stefhon Hannah (185-85, college: Missouri) who added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Five Juvecaserta players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Erick Green (190-91, college: Virginia Tech) with 26 points and international swingman Jeffrey Viggiano (197-84, college: Massachusetts) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Juvecaserta have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Defending champion Montepaschi Siena still keeps top position with three games lost. Juvecaserta is looking forward to face league's second-placed Banco di Srd in Sassari in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Montepaschi Siena will play on the road against Enel Brindisi and is hoping to win this game.
