Fourth-ranked Solna Vikings (10-10) used its home court advantage to challenge top-ranked Boras Basket (16-0) on Friday. The visitors from Boras managed to secure only three-point victory 93-90. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 17 points after three quarters before their 36-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Boras Basket made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Boras Basket outrebounded Solna Vikings 45-31 including 20 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard James Miller (182-79, college: N.Carolina A&T, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. The other American import Christopher McKnight (201-87, college: Akron) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Greek center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Mats Levin (189-77) added 13 points and 11 assists in the effort for Solna Vikings. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boras Basket have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-0 record. Solna Vikings at the other side keep the fourth place with ten games lost. Boras Basket are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Eco Orebro (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Solna Vikings will have a break next round.
