Regular Season Round 14: Dijon - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 66-63
Date: December 27, 2013
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked JDA Dijon as it allowed them to take a leadership position. JDA Dijon edged 10th ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez at home 66-63. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Pau-Lacq-Orthez won fourth quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American power forward Andre Harris (201-85, college: Fair Dickinson) notched 21 points to lead the effort and the other American import point guard T.J. Campbell (175-88, college: Portland) supported him with 15 points and 5 assists. Even 20 points and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) by American point guard Michael Thompson (177-89, college: Northwestern) did not help to save the game for Pau-Lacq-Orthez. David Denave (195-85) added 17 points for the guests. Pau-Lacq-Orthez's coach Claude Bergeaud rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Newly promoted Pau-Lacq-Orthez dropped to the eleventh place with eight games lost. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play next round against Chalon/Saor trying to get back on the winning streak. JDA Dijon will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Strasbourg IG on the road.
