Regular Season Round 27: Halc.Xalapa - Lechugueros 85-65

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Lechugueros (8-16) were rolled over on the road by eighth ranked Halcones UV Xalapa (11-9) 85-65 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Halcones UV Xalapa. Lechugueros managed to win second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Halcones UV Xalapa looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Jovan Harris (191-81, college: USF) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international forward Noe Alonzo (200-83, college: Grand Canyon) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. Four Halcones UV Xalapa players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Bahamas power forward Ryan Moss (200-74, college: UALR) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds and Senegalese center Babacar Camara (211-81, college: CS Fullerton) added 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Halcones UV Xalapa maintains eighth place with 11-9 record. Lechugueros lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 16 games lost. Halcones UV Xalapa will meet at home Panteras (#9) in the next round. Lechugueros will play against the league's leader Halcones Rojos where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
