Regular Season Round 18: Beijing Ducks - Xinjiang FT 92-97

The game between Top Four teams took place in Beijing. 3rd ranked host Beijing Ducks (13-5) lost to second ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (15-3) 97-92It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Beijing Ducks. Beijing Ducks were ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 25-17 third quarter run of Xinjiang Flying Tige. They made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Xinjiang Flying Tige outrebounded Beijing Ducks 47-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. Beijing Ducks were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) supported him with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Xinjiang Flying Tige's coach WanJun Cui allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists by American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) did not help to save the game for Beijing Ducks. International Yue Sun (206-85) added 22 points and 4 steals. Five Xinjiang Flying Tige and four Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. Xinjiang Flying Tige have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Guangdong ST. Beijing Ducks at the other side keep the third place with five games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play against Fujian (#9) in Jinjiang in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Beijing Ducks will play at home against Shanxi Zhongyu (#17) and hope to get back on the winning track.
