The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Guandong Tigers (15-3) in Dongguan on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by thirteenth ranked Foshan (8-10) 88-87. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Guandong Tigers. Foshan forced 19 Guandong Tigers turnovers. American guard Thomas Young (191-87, college: Indiana, PA) had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 19 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Xuhang Zhu (207-93) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was international Jianlian Yi (212-87) with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks and American Josh Powell (206-83, college: N.Carolina St.) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Five Foshan and four Guandong Tigers players scored in double figures. Guandong Tigers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Foshan moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Jiangsu D. Defending champion Guandong Tigers still keep top position with three games lost. They share it with Xinjiang FT. Foshan is looking forward to face higher ranked DongGuan Leopards (#4) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Guandong Tigers will play against Liaoning Hunters and are hoping to win this game.
