Regular Season Round 26: Shinshu BW - Kyoto Hannar. 90-88

The most exciting game of round 26 in the BJ League took place in Nagano. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Kyoto Hannar. (16-8) to fourth ranked Shinshu BW (15-7) 90-88 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Kyoto Hannar.. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward David Palmer (201-82, college: S.Utah) replied with 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and center Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont) added 14 points and 16 rebounds in the effort for Kyoto Hannar.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Shinshu BW maintains fourth position with 15-7 record. Kyoto Hannar. at the other side keeps the second place with eight games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kyoto Hannar. will play at home against Oita Heat Devils and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
