No shocking result in a game in Toluca where sixth ranked Toros (13-7) defeated 13th ranked Gigantes (6-17) 95-91 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 48-43 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Toros looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Gigantes were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Dangalo Jackson (183, college: Ark.-Ft.Smith JC) fired 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Adrian Henning (203-82, college: Austin Peay St.) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Derek Thomas (193-84, college: Appalachian St.) produced 28 points and 5 assists and forward Jerome Habel (208-85, college: San Diego St.) added 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Toros and four Gigantes players scored in double figures. Toros moved-up to fifth place. Gigantes lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Toros will face Halcones UV Xalapa (#7) on the road in the next round. Gigantes will play against Soles (#4) and hope to win that game.
