The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Tinguiririca S.F. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Tinguiririca S.F. defeated one of their biggest challengers Universidad de Concepcion in San Fernando 105-97. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Universidad de Concepcion won fourth quarter 35-34. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
