No shocking result in a game when second ranked Ravenna (9-5) defeated at home 8th ranked Barese (7-7) 79-61 on Sunday. Power forward Francesco Amoni (201-84) scored 25 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Adam Sollazzo (198-90, college: E.Tenn.St.) chipped in 25 points and 4 steals during the contest. Ravenna's coach Lanfranco Giordani used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized American forward Ryan Amoroso (205-85, college: San Diego St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and American power forward Ivan Elliott (203-86, college: UCSB) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Barese players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Ravenna maintains second position with 9-5 record having just two points less than leader Ferrara, which they share with Agrigento. Barese at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Ravenna will meet Recanati (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Barese will play against Treviglio (#11) and hope to secure a win.
