Regular Season Round 12: Stelmet ZG - Kotwica 99-72

TBL top team - Stelmet ZG (10-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Kotwica (3-9) in Zielona Gora 99-72. The game without a history. Stelmet ZG led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was DR Congolese swingman Christian Eyenga (201-89) who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Jordan Callahan (184-90, college: Tulane) who recorded 17 points and 8 assists and his fellow American import center Terell Parks (204-91, college: W.Illinois) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four Kotwica players scored in double figures. Kotwica's coach Tomasz Mrozek gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-2 record. Loser Kotwica keeps the tenth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Stabill Jezioro. Stelmet ZG will meet league's second-placed Trefl Sopot on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kotwica will play against Energa Czarni (#5) in Slupsk and hope to secure a win.
