Regular Season Round 10: TM Hotel Cork - Liffey Celtics 87-53

Bottom-ranked Liffey Celtics (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 87-53 loss to third ranked TM Hotel Cork (7-3) in Cork on Sunday evening. TM Hotel Cork outrebounded Liffey Celtics 54-35 including a 41-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Liffey Celtics' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when TM Hotel Cork made 7 blocks. American forward Emilee Harmon (188, college: Ohio St.) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international forward Grainne Dwyer (-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Five TM Hotel Cork players scored in double figures. TM Hotel Cork's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Shelby Smith (173, college: St.Joseph's) produced 20 points and Aine O'Connor added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side.
