Leader Halcones Rojos delivered the twentieth first win on Monday night. This time they beat 11th ranked Lechugueros (8-18) 90-73 in Leon. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-73. Halcones Rojos dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Lechugueros' 36. American guard LeRoy Hickerson (196-82, college: Cumberlands) fired 20 points for the winners. Puerto Rican point guard Carlos Rivera (187-83, college: Hofstra, agency: Paris Global Sports) chipped in 13 points. Halcones Rojos' coach Oscar Castellanos used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Halcones Rojos are looking forward to face Fuerza Regia (#6) in Monterrey in the next round where they are favorite.
