D1 top team - Al Rayyan (12-0) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Qatar Sports Club (1-12) in Doha 103-62. Al Rayyan dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Qatar Sports Club's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Qatar Sports Club's players. The best player for the winners was Croatian center Jurica Zuza (207-78, agency: Alti Sport) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Yasseen Ismail Musa (203-80) chipped in 12 points and 8 assists. Four Al Rayyan players scored in double figures. Al Rayyan's coach Brian Rowsom felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Cameroonian forward Gaston Moliva (202-85, college: Richmond) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and American swingman Chauncey Leslie (183-81, college: Iowa) added 4 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Al Rayyan have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-0 record. Qatar Sports Club lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Al Rayyan will meet at home Al Wakrah (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Qatar Sports Club will have a break next round.
