9th ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (2-9) was outscored at home by second ranked Maccabi Ashdod (9-2) with the biggest margin this round 101-51. Maccabi Ashdod dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Hap.Petah Tikva's 30 and made 24-of-28 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Maccabi Ashdod's coach Eliyahu Rabi felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Jasmine Thomas (170-91, college: Michigan St.) replied with 13 points and guard Keren Nechama (176-90) added 8 points in the effort for Hap.Petah Tikva. Maccabi Ashdod have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-2 record having just -1 point less than leader Elitzur Ramla. Hap.Petah Tikva at the other side stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Maccabi Ashdod's next round opponent will be league's leader Elitzur Ramla at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against Maccabi Ramat Hen (#3) and hope to win that game.
