Everything went according to plan in Wulguru where third ranked Melbourne Tigers (10-6) beat bottom-ranked Townsville Crocodiles (4-9) 95-77 on Friday. The game without a history. Melbourne Tigers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Melbourne Tigers shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 62.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Chris Goulding (192-88) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 assists and forward Lucas Walker (202-84, college: St.Mary's, CA) who added 18 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Jacob Holmes (201-83) with 13 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Todd Blanchfield (200-91) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Townsville Crocodiles' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Melbourne Tigers have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-6 record having just one points less than leader Wildcats.
