Regular Season Round 29: Angeles - Lechugueros 92-84

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Lechugueros' (8-20) road loss to tenth ranked Angeles (10-9) 84-92. After very bad start, Lechugueros stormed back in the second period cutting the deficit to 3 points 52-49. But it was not enough and Angeles took back the control in second half. American forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) accounted for 19 points and 10 rebounds. Five Angeles players scored in double figures. Senegalese center Babacar Camara (211-81, college: CS Fullerton) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and American point guard Glenn Stokes (170-76, college: American) added 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Lechugueros in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Angeles. Newly promoted Angeles maintains tenth place with 10-9 record. Lechugueros lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 20 games lost. Angeles' next round opponent will be higher ranked Panteras (#9) in Aguascalientes and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lechugueros will play on the road against Gansos in Ciudad de Mexico and hope to win that game.
