Very expected game when 18th ranked Qingdao Eagles (3-17) were smashed at home by third ranked Beijing Ducks (15-5) 116-92 on Friday. The game without a history. Beijing Ducks led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 32-of-35 free shots (91.4 percent) during the game. Beijing Ducks forced 22 Qingdao Eagles turnovers. Strangely Qingdao Eagles outrebounded Beijing Ducks 42-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Qingdao Eagles were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Damien Wilkins (201-80, college: Georgia, agency: Priority Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 5 assists. International Yue Sun (206-85) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Five Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. Beijing Ducks' coach LuLei Min felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Puerto Rican center Peter Ramos (222-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) added 17 points and 16 rebounds in the effort for Qingdao Eagles. Beijing Ducks moved-up to second place, which they share with Xinjiang FT. Qingdao Eagles lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Beijing Ducks will face Jiangsu Dragons (#12) in Nanjing in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Qingdao Eagles will play on the road against Fujian (#9) in Jinjiang and hope to win that game.
