Regular Season Round 16: Artego Bydg. - Gorzow 76-61

Everything went according to plan in Bydgoszcz where fourth ranked Artego Bydg. (10-6) beat 6th ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (8-8) 76-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Artego Bydg.. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski was better in third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski 38-26 including 22 on the offensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Artego Bydg. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American Amisha Carter (186-82, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Leah Metcalf (170-83, college: N.Carolina) who added 11 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals during the contest. At the losing side the former international Magdalena Losi (174-80, agency: Promotex) responded with 15 points and American Taber Spani (182-91, college: Tennessee) scored 15 points and 4 steals. Four AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski players scored in double figures. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Artego Bydg. maintains fourth position with 10-6 record. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski at the other side dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. Artego Bydg. will face Basket ROW (#7) in Rybnik in the next round. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will play at home against Riviera Gdynia and hope to win that game.
