Cambados (#9) forced the game against Castello (#5) into an overtime, but lost by eight points 85-93 on Saturday night. The game took place in Cambados. But the guests from Castellon were better at the end. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cambados. Cambados was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 22-14 charge of Castello, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 17-9. Castello forced 19 Cambados turnovers. Nigerian-American power forward Olasumbo Atoyebi (203-87, college: Elon) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and power forward Alberto Ausina (203-81) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Castello players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Alberto Rodriguez (206-75) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and Argentinian guard Juan Martin Orellano (190-89) scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. Cambados' coach Yago Casal rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Castello have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Caceres. Newly promoted Cambados keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Castello will meet Araberri (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Cambados will have a break next round.
