Regular Season Round 14: Sokol Lancut - Wilki Morskie 100-72

An interesting game took place in Lancut where higher ranked Wilki Morskie (8-6) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Sokol Lancut (7-7) 100-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Wilki Morskie. The game was mostly controlled by Sokol Lancut. Wilki Morskie was better in fourth quarter 24-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sokol Lancut players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Wilki Morskie's players. Damian Pieloch (195-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Kacper Mlynarski (200-92, agency: Promotex) contributed with 20 points for the winners. point guard Marcin Flieger (182-84, agency: Promotex) replied with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Pawel Kowalczuk (207-80, college: St.Francis, NY, agency: Promotex) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Wilki Morskie. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sokol Lancut moved-up to eighth place. Wilki Morskie at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Sokol Lancut's next round opponent will be MCKiS Jaworz. (#13) in Jaworzno where they are favorite.
