Regular Season Round 22: B.Bystrica - Prievidza 74-76

Seventh-ranked SKP Banska Bystrica (7-13) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Prievidza (13-6) on Saturday. The visitors from Prievidza managed to secure only two-point victory 76-74. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 27-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Croatian swingman Marko Batina (198-86) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Darris Santee (203-87, college: UNLV) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international guard Milan Ziak (190-88) responded with 25 points and 5 assists and American point guard Chris Lowe (182-87, college: Massachusetts, agency: KMG Sports Management) scored 18 points. SKP Banska Bystrica's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Prievidza have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Prievidza are looking forward to face league's leader Inter Bratislava at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SKP Banska Bystrica will play against the league's second-placed Nitra (#2) in Nitra and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
