There was no surprise when 10th ranked Apollon Patras (4-8) was defeated at home by third ranked Panionios (10-2) 89-81 on Saturday. Apollon Patras trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 22-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 81-89 at the end of the game. Panionios made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Apollon Patras was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players.
