Very predictable result when seventh ranked Gipuzkoa (8-6) rolled over bottom-ranked Blancos de Rueda (2-12) in Valladolid 83-64 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 49-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Jason Robinson (195-80, college: Pikeville) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. point guard Javier Salgado (18-80) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Gipuzkoa players scored in double figures. American guard Jason Rowe (178-78, college: Loyola, MD, agency: Two Points) replied with 13 points and 5 assists and Serbian forward Nikola Cvetinovic (203-88, college: Akron) added 18 points in the effort for Blancos de Rueda. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gipuzkoa maintains seventh position with 8-6 record. Loser Blancos de Rueda dropped to the bottom place with 12 games lost. Gipuzkoa will face Laboral Kutxa (#10) in Vitoria in the next round.
