Leading UL Huskies (7-2) recorded its second loss in Limerick. Hosts were defeated by third ranked TM Hotel Cork (8-3) 90-80. It was a key game for the second position in the league. TM Hotel Cork made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. TM Hotel Cork outrebounded UL Huskies 40-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for the former international forward Grainne Dwyer (-84) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Canadian-British guard Rachel Vanderwal (176-83, college: Boston U.) responded with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international guard Rachel Clancy (175-88, college: Cal Poly - SLO) scored 24 points. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for TM Hotel Cork. They moved-up to second place. Defending champion UL Huskies dropped to the third position with two games lost. TM Hotel Cork will play against league's leader DCU Mercy in Dublin in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UL Huskies will play on the road against 11890 Killester in Dublin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
