Regular Season Round 14: Start Lublin - Kutno 79-56

The most important game in the last round took place in Lublin between third ranked Kutno (10-4) and seventh ranked Start Lublin (8-6) on Saturday night. Kutno was crushed by Start Lublin on the road 79-56. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kutno. The game was mostly controlled by Start Lublin. Kutno managed to win third quarter 16-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Start Lublin especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. 30 personal fouls committed by Kutno helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Kamil Michalski (182-87, agency: Promotex) scored 11 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Alan Czujkowski (198-90, agency: Promotex) chipped in 17 points during the contest. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Start Lublin moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Wilki Morskie. Kutno at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with MKS DG. Start Lublin is looking forward to face Stal Ostrow (#9) in Ostrow Wlkp. in the next round. Kutno will play on the road against the league's leader SIDEn Torun (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
