Regular Season Round 12: Venezia - Lucca 81-62

The most important game in the last round took place in Lucca between third ranked Lucca (9-3) and sixth ranked Venezia (7-5) on Sunday night. Lucca was crushed by Venezia at home 81-62. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Lucca. The game was mostly controlled by Venezia. Lucca managed to win fourth quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Venezia dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Lucca's 40. Venezia have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Parma. Lucca at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Venezia is looking forward to face Priolo (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Lucca will play against Umbertide (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
