Very predictable result when top-ranked Wisla Krakow (16-0) smashed on the road bottom-ranked MKS Konin (1-15) 98-46 on Sunday. The game without a history. Wisla Krakow led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MKS Konin to just 7 points in third quarter. Wisla Krakow dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to MKS Konin's 32. They outrebounded MKS Konin 53-23 including a 37-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Wisla Krakow looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by MKS Konin's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wisla Krakow made 8 blocks. At the losing side forward Anita Szemraj (182-89) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Katarzyna Motyl (173-87, agency: Promotex) scored 8 points and 4 assists. Wisla Krakow have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-0 record. Newly promoted MKS Konin stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Wisla Krakow will face Wilki Morskie (#5) in Szczecin in the next round. MKS Konin will play on the road against Widzew (#9) in Lodz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
