Regular Season Round 27: Bambitious Nara - Shiga L-Stars 71-87

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (12-14) defeated on the road 9th ranked Bambitious Nara (6-18) 87-71 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Shiga L-Stars. Bambitious Nara was better in third quarter 14-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shiga L-Stars dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Bambitious Nara's 26 and made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Marshall Brown (199-85, college: Missouri) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points. Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was American guard Joe Chapman (193-84, college: Marquette, agency: I.D.S. Law) with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Tatsuya Suzuki (169-91) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Shiga L-Stars maintains sixth place with 12-14 record. Bambitious Nara lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 18 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will face league's leader Akita Happinets on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bambitious Nara will play against the league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. (#2) and hope to win that game.
