Regular Season Round 13: Al Rayyan - Al Wakrah 91-74

D1 top team - Al Rayyan (13-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat seventh ranked Al Wakrah (4-9) in Doha 91-74. Al Rayyan looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Al Wakrah's players. The former international power forward Yasseen Ismail Musa (203-80) fired 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jermareo Davidson (208-84, college: Alabama) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Al Rayyan players scored in double figures. Al Rayyan's coach Brian Rowsom used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Dalron Johnson (206-81, college: UNLV) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import point guard Ronnie Taylor (187-81, college: NC-Greensboro) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for lost side. Al Rayyan have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-0 record. Al Wakrah lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Al Rayyan's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Jaysh.
