Regular Season Round 15: Den Bosch - Amsterdam 94-49
Date: January 5, 2014
No shocking result in a game when third ranked Den Bosch (13-5) crushed at home 9th ranked Amsterdam (3-14) 94-49 on Sunday. The game without a history. Den Bosch led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Amsterdam to just 3 points in third quarter. Den Bosch dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Amsterdam's 30. Den Bosch forced 21 Amsterdam turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American forward Tai Wesley (200-86, college: Utah St.) who led his team to a victory with 24 points (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!). His fellow American import guard David Gonzalvez (193-87, college: Richmond) contributed with 22 points for the winners. The former international center Robert Krabbendam (213-86, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Court Side) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds and the former international point guard Aaron Roye (185-88) added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for Amsterdam. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Den Bosch have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 13-5 record behind leader Groningen. Loser Amsterdam keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Den Bosch will face Leeuwarden (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Amsterdam will play against the league's second-placed Zwolle and hope to win that game.
