Leader Hapoel Jerusalem delivered the eleventh victory. This time they beat 9th ranked Bnei Hasharon (5-9) 82-71. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Jerusalem. Bnei Hasharon was better in third quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Jerusalem shot 26 for 35 from the free-throw line, while Bnei Hasharon only scored nine points from the stripe. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Josh Duncan (203-86) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 9 rebounds. International Lior Eliyahu (206-85, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) contributed with 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian-American point guard Michael Umeh (188-84, college: UNLV, agency: Two Points) answered with 24 points and point guard Avi Ben-Chimol (194-85, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Hapoel Jerusalem. They maintain first place with 11-3 record. Bnei Hasharon lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem will play against Hapoel Eilat (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bnei Hasharon will play against GreenTops Netanya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
