Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ravenna (9-6) against fifteenth ranked Recanati (6-9) on Sunday night. Visiting Ravenna was defeated by Recanati in Recanati 80-70. The game was mostly controlled by Recanati. Ravenna managed to win third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Daman Starring (190-88, college: Cal-Irvine) who led the winners and scored 21 points. His fellow American import swingman Sean Mosley (192-89, college: Maryland) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Adam Sollazzo (198-90, college: E.Tenn.St.) came up with 19 points and point guard Eugenio Rivali (178-86, agency: Two Points) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Ravenna in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Recanati moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Firenze. Newly promoted Ravenna keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Recanati will meet at home higher ranked Chieti (#11) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ravenna will play against Treviglio (#9) and hope to secure a win.
